Senior Associate of Accounting Real Estate Fund Accounting (Private Equity)
Job Overview:
Our client a leading private equity firm specializing in real estate investments is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate of Accounting to join their dynamic team. This position requires a deep understanding of fund accounting principles particularly within the real estate sector and offers the opportunity to work alongside industry leaders in a fastpaced collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage accounting processes for real estate funds ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial data.
- Prepare and review monthly quarterly and annual financial statements for multiple real estate funds in accordance with GAAP and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers tax professionals and other teams to ensure alignment on financial reporting investor communication and compliance.
- Monitor and reconcile investment valuations cash flows and expenses to ensure proper financial management and reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of investor reports capital calls distributions and other investor communications.
- Support the annual audit process liaising with external auditors and ensuring all required information is provided.
- Continuously review and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
- CPA preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in real estate fund accounting with a focus on private equity investments.
- Strong understanding of fund accounting GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
