As a Product Stewardship & Hazard Profiling Expert you will have the unique opportunity to be the subject matter expert for hazard profiling toxicology risk assessment and Product Stewardship.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Be an expert at Bluesign for hazard profiling toxicology risk assessment and Product Stewardship
- Support the technical product development of tools related to the bluesign chemical assessment especially hazard profiling
- Conduct hazard profiles for chemical products and train bluesign chemical assessors
- Strongly support data maintenance in the bluesign substance database (bluesign NAVIGATOR)
- Support the revision process of BSSL BSBL RSL testing matrix and related items
- Support the monitoring of regulatory updates and inform on regulatory news via the ACADEMY news platform
- Represent bluesign in expert groups and on selected events as needed
- Be involved in regulatory working groups as needed
- Provide bluesign ACADEMY services e.g. training/education consulting knowledge papers etc.
- Help manage the bluesign ACADEMY helpdesk for bluesign SYSTEM PARTNERS
- Deliver industry relevant data and background documents that support and facilitate realization of companys objectives
- Predict toxicological and ecotoxicological data by readacross and modeling
- Provide scientific expertise research data collection background information and new ideas for existing and new fields of operation
Qualifications :
Essentials
- Master degree in toxicology/chemistry/chemical engineering with ideally 10 years of industry experience
- Profound knowledge of classification of chemicals according to the GHS
- Profound knowledge in chemical and risk hazard assessment (based on available toxicological and ecotoxicological data)
- Profound knowledge in chemicals regulations such as REACh California Proposition 65 Biocidal Product Regulation (BPR) Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs)
- Experience in QSAR (Quantitative Structure Activity Relationship) is an advantage
- Profound knowledge in the fields of environment textile consumer safety and chemistry
- Ideally profound knowledge of the textile supply chain
- Good knowledge of MS Office (especially excel)
