Are you an experienced SEN practitioner looking for the next step in your career A wellrenowned secondary school in Sutton is seeking a Deputy SENCO to join their dedicated team in April 2025. Support the SENCO in leading and managing the schools SEN provision.
Work closely with teachers support staff and external professionals to ensure effective SEN support.
Assist in the creation implementation and monitoring of Education Health & Care Plans (EHCPs).
Provide training and guidance to staff on best practices in inclusive teaching and SEN support.
Support in identifying students with SEN and coordinating interventions to meet their individual needs.
Build strong relationships with parents carers and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Take an active role in assessments progress tracking and data analysis to drive student success.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience supporting students with SEN.
Previous experience in a SENCO Deputy SENCO or SEN leadership role (or strong SEN experience as a teacher).
A strong understanding of SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes.
Excellent communication leadership and teamwork skills.
A proactive compassionate and adaptable approach to SEN support.
NASENCO qualification (or willingness to work towards it).
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
