SEN Learning Support Assistant Friendly Primary School Kingston Upon Thames
Role: SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Nature: FullTime Permanent
Start: April 2025 or September 2025
Salary: Competitive based on experience
A friendly and inclusive primary school in Kingston Upon Thames is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to support children with special educational needs helping them thrive in a nurturing and structured learning environment.
Role Highlights:
- Fulltime permanent position at a friendly primary school in Kingston Upon Thames
- Provide onetoone and small group support to pupils with SEN including autism (ASC) speech and language difficulties and social emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs
- Assist in adapting learning activities and classroom resources to support individual learning styles
- Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement personalised education plans (EHCPs)
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence and independence
- Support children with personal and social development ensuring they feel safe valued and encouraged
Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children preferably in an SEN setting
- A patient empathetic and proactive approach to supporting students
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification) or willingness to undertake training
- Enhanced DBS check required
