The MDBA is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to conduct requirements discovery process mapping and recommend a design solution within the MDBAs existing ICT architecture for onboarding for the onboarding internal transfer and offboarding of staff contractors and consultants.
Requirements
Key duties and responsibilities
The Business Analyst will (but is not limited to):
Engage and collaborate with stakeholder groups to discover refine and map onboarding internal transfer and offboarding processes/workflows for staff contractors and consultants.
Document business and functional requirements.
Develop and refine with stakeholders a futurestate based on the above information and findings.
Create documentation and outputs that enable transition to a streamlined process.
Develop a range of analysis artefacts to support the work (including but not limited to business process mapping user stories and gap analysis) and enable transition to a streamlined process.
Develop a brief work plan with agreed outcomes and proposed timeframes Liaise with Enterprise Architecture and ICT teams to understand both opportunities and constraints within design options.
Liaise with internal MDBA Corporate stakeholders to plan coordinate and deliver the work.
Report to the ICT Client Services Team on progress against the agreed schedule
Conduct quality assurance activities as part of their work.

Essential criteria
1. Min 5 years demonstrated experience in business analysis
2. Excellent and proven stakeholder engagement skills working closely with technical stakeholders
3. Excellent and proven writing skills and development of supporting material
4. Minimum AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance
Desirable criteria
1. Experience working with federal government departments
2. BA Certification
Essential criteria 1. A track record of delivering technology products in large organisations 2. A demonstrated understanding of what makes for a great developer experience for external users 3. Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams that follow agile and user-centred design practices 4. Experience working on large Government transformation programs highly regarded Desirable criteria 1. Knowledge, experience of, and relationships with the agriculture technology industry 2. Delivery of technology to support regulatory decision-making processes 3. Experience delivering to the Australian Government Digital Service Standard
