About this job:
For our Dublin office we are seeking a business analyst having some actuarial knowledge to join our IT Underwriting Non Life Unit which is part of the Group IT department and responsible for all applications in the underwriting area (Pricing & Modeling Capacity & Exposure Management Portfolio Management & Optimization).
In this role you will support the development of our applications in the Pricing area from the business requirements and application specifications to the definition of the testing strategy and last but not least users support. This position includes the analysis of the requirements and specification design.
In more detail your area of duties will be:
In cooperation with the Business Experts:
- Study information needs system flows data usage and business processes
- Identify areas for improvement in processes and develop solutions
- Define the business rules
Solution design
- Specify solutions that meet business needs and requirements
- Analyze data to identify insights that can inform business decisions
- Assist the development team in planning execution and monitoring to ensure successful delivery of solutions
- Create detailed documentation of business requirements processes and solutions
Solution Testing and Support:
- Defining and executing tests in collaboration with users
- Producing the required documentation
Qualifications :
About you:
As a Business Analyst you have at least five years experience in analyzing business processes bringing along the following experience/profile:
- Highly motivated to understand our business processes
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and language skills in English (proficient verbal and in writing) as you will interact with the IT and the Business community on a daily basis
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g. Excel SQL)
- Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum
- High motivation and capable of working in a challenging international environment in across location teams
- Ability to work effectively within diverse teams and stakeholders
- Driven towards finding solutions and being responsive
- A university degree or equivalent in IT/Computer Science
- Experience in the insurance or reinsurance business is a plus
- Some actuarial knowledge is welcome
