Paralegal Marion IL
We are seeking a dedicated and detailoriented Paralegal to join our legal team in Marion IL. The ideal candidate will have strong legal knowledge exceptional organizational skills and the ability to assist attorneys in handling cases efficiently. This role requires experience in legal research document preparation and case management.
Key Responsibilities: - Assist attorneys in case preparation including legal research drafting documents and trial preparation.
- Prepare and file legal documents pleadings and court forms in compliance with local state and federal laws.
- Maintain and organize case files client records and legal correspondence.
- Conduct research on statutes regulations and case law to support legal arguments.
- Communicate professionally with clients court officials witnesses and opposing counsel.
- Manage deadlines court schedules and appointments to ensure timely case progression.
- Assist with discovery processes including document review drafting responses and summarizing depositions.
- Coordinate trial preparation including organizing exhibits and preparing witness materials.
Qualifications: - Associates or Bachelors degree in Paralegal Studies or a Paralegal Certificate from an accredited program.
- 2 years of experience as a Paralegal preferably in litigation personal injury or civil law.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology court procedures and case management practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook) and legal research tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks work independently and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- Experience with case management software is a plus.
