We are seeking a Datacenter & Hardware Junior Specialist whose primary focus will be on IT hardware infrastructure and troubleshooting. This position entails physical deployment maintenance and troubleshooting of servers and networking equipment within the companys datacenter. The ideal candidate must also possess the ability to work independently with a team so that the infrastructure runs smoothly to enhance the overall operation.
Define and incorporate specifics for server components such as RAM CPUs SSDs RAID controllers in addition to assembling installing and configuring the server.
Perform hardware diagnostics to troubleshoot and replace defective components on a regular basis.
Oversee the distribution of power supply cabling and rack organization to ensure proper maintenance and management of the datacenter.
Take part in server imaging and overall initial configuration of the server to aid in hardware providing.
Analyze and monitor system performance to assist in resolving defects to guarantee reliability and uptime.
Communicate with other teams to enhance resource allocation and overall efficiency of the Datacenter.
Update and maintain documentation regarding inventory of hardware maintenance logs and procedures for troubleshooting.
Be a part of oncall rotation teams to aid in response to critical incidents.
Be prepared to relocate to various locations of the datacenter as needed (Lisbon Porto and Faro).
Requirements
Basic experience or education in IT computer hardware or a related field (hardware assembly preferred).
Understanding of server components and troubleshooting techniques (preferred)
Familiarity with networking equipment and structured cabling (basic knowledge of switches routers and power systems is a plus).
Ability to work under close supervision as well as independently when required.
Willingness to work in shifts including weekends and be available for oncall emergencies.
Physical ability to lift and rack server equipment when needed.
Basic knowledge of Linux or Windows server environments is a plus.
Must be able to read write and speak English.
Valid drivers license (required for travel between datacenter locations).
Preferred
Handson experience assembling and maintaining computer hardware.
Previous experience in a datacenter or IT support role.
Certifications such as CompTIA A Server or similar are a plus.
