Job Description

About the role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and autonomous Electrical Design Engineer specializing in Power Systems with 2 6 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be capable of handling projects independently with minimal knowledge transfer. This role involves leading the design development and implementation of complex electrical power systems ensuring high performance reliability and compliance with industry standards.

You are expected to do:

Manage the complete lifecycle of Electrical Power System projects with minimal supervision. This includes project planning execution monitoring and closing.

Develop detailed Electrical Designs for Power Systems including schematics wiring diagrams and layout drawings. Conduct system modelling and simulations to validate design choices.

Provide expertlevel technical support and troubleshooting for complex electrical issues during design installation and operational phases.

Ensure all designs adhere to relevant industry standards codes and regulations (e.g. IEEE NEC IEC). Implement safety measures and conduct risk assessments.

Prepare comprehensive technical documentation including specifications reports and user manuals. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and clients.

Requirements

You will be a great fit if you have:

2 6 years of relevant work experience in LV/MV Switchgears with B.E. / B. Tech in Electrical Engineering.

Experience in designing SLD/3lines/control schematics Electrical control panels MV Switchgear Panels Substations MCC and PCC panels etc.

Sound knowledge in Breaker sizing Cable sizing Busbar sizing cable routing etc.

Hands on experience with NFPA NEC NEMA and UL standardsPreferred.

Experience in electrical component selection BOM preparation and control schemes with a focus on working with OEMs.

Knowledge of Breaker sizing Cable sizing Busbar sizing cable routing and various Protection Schemes.

Working experience in software s like AUTO CAD (Mandatory).
