Job Description
Local Candidates ONLY to San Antonio TX.
- The plant is making some changes to the schedules effective this week.. They have made the determination to mandatory 10 hour days this week. We normally work 6:30am 3:30pm (w/lunch).
- We will be transitioning to 10 hour days in the future. 4/10s MTh
- It is required that consultants wear steel toed shoe all day long.
- No jewelry as this is a plant environment.
- Work within a material planning team at the client San Antonio manufacturing facility where we build Class 68 commericial trucks and EVs.
- Plans schedules and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle.
- Determines material requirements from engineering and production schedules.
- Coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing production and engineering.
- Develops specifications for new contract orders.
- Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity; creates and maintains bills of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprisewide systems
- Proficient with MS Office
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to details.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree and no experience
OR
At least 2 years of shop order planning and purchasing experience
