Job Title: EHR Support Analyst
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daytoday support for EHR system users including troubleshooting technical issues and resolving problems in a timely manner.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external users including clinicians administrative staff and IT teams regarding EHR system issues.
- Troubleshoot EHRrelated technical issues escalating more complex problems to senior technical staff or vendors when necessary.
- Assist in the configuration customization and optimization of the EHR system to meet the needs of healthcare organizations.
- Work with clinical and administrative teams to configure workflows templates and system settings.
- Monitor system performance and make recommendations for system improvements or process optimizations.
- Provide enduser training on EHR system functionality including new features best practices and workflow processes.
- Develop and maintain user manuals training materials and documentation to help users effectively navigate the system.
- Conduct oneonone or group training sessions for new users and system updates.
- Collaborate with technical teams to implement system updates patches and version upgrades.
- Ensure that all updates are compliant with relevant healthcare regulations (HIPAA HITECH etc.) and that users are informed of new features or changes.
- Ensure that the EHR system is fully compliant with healthcare regulations including HIPAA and other local state and federal healthcare laws.
- Assist in the maintenance of data security and patient confidentiality protocols within the EHR system.
- Participate in audits and quality checks to ensure system integrity and compliance.
- Collaborate with IT and clinical teams to ensure that the EHR system integrates effectively with other healthcare systems (e.g. lab radiology pharmacy).
- Work with technical teams to identify and implement system improvements or troubleshoot any integration issues.
- Assist in the development of reports dashboards and analytics to help healthcare organizations track performance compliance and other key metrics.
- Help generate regular and adhoc reports for clinical and administrative teams to inform decisionmaking.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Healthcare Management or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience supporting EHR systems preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Familiarity with EHR systems (Epic Cerner Allscripts Meditech etc.) and their core functionalities.
- Strong understanding of healthcare workflows clinical operations and terminology.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA HITECH and Meaningful Use.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving EHR systemrelated issues.
- Basic understanding of database management and SQL is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Detailoriented with excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certifications in specific EHR platforms (Epic Cerner etc.).
- Experience in system integration and understanding of interoperability standards (HL7 CCD FHIR).
- Knowledge of clinical decision support systems (CDS) or electronic prescribing.
- Experience with data reporting or analytics in healthcare.
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
