Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer
Position Type: Contract
Location: Seattle WA (Hybrid) Need Local
Primary Skills: Amazon Web Services (AWS)
MustHave Skills: 58 years experience in APIM management tools with a specialization in KONG expertise in managing and optimizing API gateways experience with Kubernetes Redis cache and AWS infra components Observability tool (OTEL framework) with deep skills in Datadog and Splunk LUA Experience and ideally experience in writing Kong plugins in LUA experience in migrating APIM platforms experience working in SaaS environment.
Good to Have Skills: Experience in APIGEE Edge Proxy migration experience from APIGEE Edge to KONG.
Responsibilities: Collaborate with crossfunctional teams implement and manage API security policies monitor and analyze API performance custom plugin development monitoring logging & tracing develop reusable efficient and welldocumented Lua scripts for KONG plugins provide documentation training and support to internal teams and stakeholders.
Soft Skills: Selfstarter ability to work with internal and external stakeholders drive with architecture and engineering practices.
Other Skills: Solid understanding of API management principles experience with API management features such as rate limiting load balancing authentication logging and monitoring proficiency in managing cloud infrastructure and working with cloudbased API Gateway services ability to work effectively in an agile development environment.
