Our client a macadamia nut processor and exporter based in Juja is seeking a highly motivated and resultsdriven Sales and Marketing Personnel to join their team. This position combines both sales and marketing responsibilities requiring a dynamic
individual who can create effective digital marketing strategies while driving sales growth. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills creativity and the ability to adapt strategies
based on local market trends and customer insights.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Responsibilities
Identify and prospect new clients or customers through lead generation strategies
including cold calling networking and attending industry events.
Present and demonstrate products/services to potential clients addressing their needs and
offering tailored solutions.
Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure retention and satisfaction.
Achieve or exceed sales targets and quotas set by the company.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to ensure favorable terms for both the
company and the customer.
Track sales activities manage customer databases and generate sales reports.
Marketing Responsibilities:
Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the company s products or
services and increase brand awareness.
Stay updated on local digital marketing trends best practices and emerging tools to
maintain a competitive edge.
Research local market trends customer behavior and competitor activities to continuously
adapt marketing strategies.
Create engaging content for social media platforms blogs email campaigns and website
landing pages.
Manage and grow the company s presence across various social media platforms
(Facebook Instagram LinkedIn etc.) posting regular updates monitoring engagement
and interacting with local followers.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on performance data to refine and
improve marketing campaigns.
Develop and implement localized digital marketing strategies to increase online sales and
brand awareness within the target region.
Drive customer engagement through targeted email marketing and automated campaigns.
Collaborate with local sales teams to align digital marketing efforts with overall sales
objectives ensuring consistency across both departments.
Use CRM tools to manage and segment local customer data for more personalized
marketing efforts.
Work with local influencers partners and affiliates to amplify marketing efforts and extend
brand reach.
Manage relationships with local vendors or digital advertising agencies as needed to
execute marketing initiatives effectively.
Collaboration and Reporting:
Work closely with the sales team to align marketing strategies with sales goals and improve
overall performance.
Regularly report on sales and marketing performance providing insights
recommendations and strategies to senior management.
Requirements
Bachelor s degree in Marketing Business or a related field.
2 years of experience in sales and marketing with a focus on digital marketing and local
market knowledge.
Strong understanding of marketing principles sales techniques and digital marketing best
practices.
Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms including social media management
email marketing and content creation tools.
Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce HubSpot) and data segmentation.
Strong communication writing and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt marketing strategies based on local trends and customer feedback.
Highly organized detailoriented and able to work effectively in a fastpaced environment.
Goaloriented with a focus on achieving measurable results.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in managing digital marketing campaigns and social media content.
Knowledge of SEO SEM and analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
Basic design skills for creating marketing materials (e.g. Canva Adobe Creative Suite).
Experience in working with local influencers partners and agencies.
Working Conditions
Fulltime position Monday to Saturday.
BSc degree in Marketing or related field. Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in FMCG sales from the big FMCG firms. Demonstrable experience in marketing together with the potential and attitude required to learn. Proven experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading across channels marketing campaigns that engage, educate and motivate. Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends). Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns.
