Job Description

Growing Food Manufacturing Company near Bay City Michigan has a need for a Plant Manager. This is a direct hire role with a full benefits package and relocationl.

Duties

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

Participates in formulating and administrating department policy and developing goals and objectives.

Directs and coordinates facility activities for which responsibility is delegated to further attainment of goals and objectives.

Responsible for maintaining credit policy making sure that credit limits are monitored and those receivables are collected.

Responsible for all shipments that quality meets or exceeds customer specification.

Assure optimum staffing of department and in conjunction with the Safety Department that all employees are properly trained and safety policies are implemented and followed

Responsible for ensuring that all facilities and equipment are maintained and proper housekeeping is maintained. Works with Vice President and Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate maintenance activities or projects.

Responsible that all licensing regulatory reports and required facility compliance is completed at all times. This should be done in conjunction with the Director of Safety and Security.

Performs annual job evaluations of supervised employees.

Minimum Requirements

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Bachelors degree (B.A.) from fouryear college or university; or four to six years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals (written oral diagram or schedule form).

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to speak effectively before groups of growers customers or employees.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as functions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
