Job Description

Job Description

  • Organize and update financial records as needed (digital) for tax purposes.
  • Deliver operating efficiencies through XERO XERO Tax MYOB XPM and other accounting & business software systems.
  • Responsible for tracking and following up mainly to do IAS & BAS Bookkeeping Corporate Tax Return with the ability for clientfacing or email followups when necessary.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare management accounts.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Australian tax compliance and Corporate Tax Return.
  • Preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS) Instalment Activity Statements (IAS)
  • & client payroll tax reports.
  • Ability to preparing Financial Statements and Tax Returns for companies trusts partnerships.
  • General accounting procedures and other ad hoc tasks as required.
  • Stay informed on industry developments and changes in regulations.
  • Ability to perform timely administration assistance when necessary.

Requirements

Requirements/Skills needed:

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or any relevant field. CA or CPA Preferred.
  • 3 years minimum experience working as a financial accountant for an Australian Accounting Firm.
  • IMPORTANT MAIN JOB Experience must include preparation of financial statements and tax returns for companies trusts and partnerships
  • Experience in preparing Business Activity Statements
  • Strong knowledge of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of preparing financial statements of companies trusts partnerships.
  • High competence in preparing and finalizing company trust & partnership tax returns.
  • Outstanding working knowledge on GST BAS IAS & other compliance related functions.
  • Excellent knowledge on MS Office and in various and accounting software extensive.
  • Knowledge in XERO MYOB XERO Tax XPM and other accounting & business software systems.
  • Strong attention to detail time management and accounting administration skills.
  • Strong analytical problem solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English business communication skills.

Additional Job Details:

Setup and Location: Office based in Ortigas
Work Schedule: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (AEST) 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM (PH Time)
Employment Type: Fulltime

Requirements/Skills Needed: Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or any relevant field, CPA is preferred. At least 3+ years experience in New Zealand/Australian accounting, and bookkeeping. Experience in bookkeeping for more than one business. Strong proficiency with using Xero and/or Xero Practice Manager, as well as Microsoft Office Suite. Strong attention to detail (we're talking Sherlock Holmes level). Exceptional communication skills (seriously, your emails should sparkle). A sense of humour that can light up a room (dad jokes are welcome).
