Location: Remote (EST Timezone)

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 8 AM to 4 PM EST

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team and oversee all financial procedures within our company. As the Financial Controller you will play a critical role in developing accounting policies monitoring financial status and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. Your expertise will be instrumental in maximizing profits mitigating risks and maintaining our financial integrity.

Responsibilities:

• Develop document and update accounting policies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Oversee timely completion of all payments including accounts payable and bank deposits.
• Review quarterly and annual budgets for all departments and analyze costs and profits.
• Set and track financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure company performance.
• Build risk assessment models to evaluate investments and financial strategies.
• Report on financial status regularly and prepare adhoc reports as needed.
• Maintain accurate and uptodate filing systems for financial records.
• Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits to ensure compliance.
• Manage lead and build a team to accomplish department responsibilities effectively.

Requirements:

• Work experience as a Financial Controller or similar role demonstrating a solid understanding of financial management.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles procedures and legislation including GAAP.
• Handson experience with general ledger accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel with the ability to leverage accounting software effectively.
• Experience in cash management risk assessment and financial analysis.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with tight deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA or CMA certification is preferred but not required.
