Mobile Health Team Inc. a staffing agency has an opening for a Medical Technologist/Laboratory Technician(MT/MLT). We are looking for someone with a passion for people.

Location: Bethel AK 99559

Assignment Start Date: 5/13/2024

26 weeks Varied 8hour shift 40 hours weekly guaranteed

Under the direction of the laboratory manager is responsible for performing laboratory tests quality control procedures and communication with physicians nurses and patients.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

Experience:

• One to three years of related or progressively more responsible experience in chemistry blood bank hematology and microbiology or formal student internship

Education:

• A bachelors degree in Medical Technology or a related field is required.
• Clinical laboratory instrumentation is required
• Laboratory generalist preferred

Licenses Certifications and/or Registration:

• Must be board eligible by NCA or ASCP and complete board certification within one year of employment
• Certification at MT by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or CLS by the National Accrediting Agency (NCA) within one year of employment

EMR System: Cerner experience preferred

Shift: Variable 8hour shifts days evenings or nights

COVID19: All Travelers are required to show proof of completed COVID19 vaccinations.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

• Must be capable of working independently and providing direction to Medical Laboratory Assistants.
