THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a passionate motivated and skilled Senior Front End Engineer to join our growing engineering team at the WhereTo Lab in Barcelona. This is an exciting chance to be a crucial part of the team leading the return to travel. ROLE OVERVIEW

Step into the role of Senior Front End Engineer and lead the development of user interface components utilizing advanced JavaScript libraries and tools such as React.js Redux and Node.js/npm. You will ensure our code is performant scalable and userfriendly and you will be instrumental in cultivating a culture of craftsmanship and continuous improvement within the team.

Your KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build and maintain UI components with a focus on performance scalability and usability.
• Utilize JavaScript libraries and tools like React.js Redux and Node.js/npm.
• Lead and assist the FrontEnd team in coding with performance scalability and usability in mind.
• Work extensively with the virtualDOM pure reducers and immutable data structures.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• 4 years of professional software development experience (internships and personal projects not included).
• 2 years of experience with React.js or other web frameworks (Vue.js Angular Ember etc.).
• Experience with state containers (Redux Alt Flux).
• Proficiency with modern JavaScript (ES6 Babel FlowType and/or TypeScript Webpack).
• Solid understanding of HTML5 particularly with IE quirks.
• Experience with JavaScript testing frameworks (Mocha Jasmine Jest).
• Familiarity with Agile development and TDD/BDD methodologies.
• Strong understanding of Git fundamentals.
• Bonus: Experience with purefunctional programming (Ramda LoDash FP etc.) or interest in fullstack development.
