Job Description

This is an outstanding opportunity to join our dynamic organization. In the role of Senior Counsel EMEA (m/f/d) you will report to the Legal Director EMEA. This position will be based in Bensheim, Germany (preferred), or Salzburg, Austria, with flexible office hours and employee-friendly remote working options. Key responsibilities: • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of operational and commercial contracts, including distribution, sales and marketing agreements as well as agreements with healthcare professionals • Advising internal stakeholders in the EMEA region on a variety of legal and business issues, including healthcare-related marketing and sales campaigns and materials • Participating in M&A projects, divestitures, and other matters with organization-wide impact • Advising on legal risks and proposing solutions to mitigate them • Establishing, monitoring, and optimizing legal processes, workflows, standards and templates • Building close cross-functional relationships and maintaining a strong knowledge of our products and services • Managing relationships with outside counsel and other professionals representing us • Coordinating pre-litigation, litigation and alternative dispute resolution matters Requirements: • Fully qualified German (preferred) or Austrian lawyer (Volljurist) • 5+ years of relevant post-qualification experience (preferably gained in an international corporation), including a background in contract, corporate, competition and anti-trust law and supporting sales initiatives, with a preference for experience in the healthcare or medical devices industry • Team player with strong interpersonal skills • Ability to manage multiple parallel projects, to prioritize, meet deadlines and provide solutions • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced / high volume environment with good business and common sense • Experience and confidence in dealing with and supporting senior management (both in written and verbal communications), including the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents and communications • Proactive, pragmatic and efficient working style with a hands-on mentality • Willingness to learn and dive into new tasks • Fluency in English and German (written and spoken), especially the legal language. Additional language skills preferred.
