Primary purpose of job
This position requires an experienced technical engineer to be able to maintain and support medium to large systems

related to Industrial Cities in the Energy sector. This position also requires end user management business analysis

contract and vendor management. The engineer will be responsible for systems support he/she must ensure the

system/solutions continues to work with no issue as to not hinder business continuity.

Position Responsibilities:

• Leads and manages simultaneously multiple medium and large size IT projects/programs to acquire or improve IT systems

Industrial Cities in the Energy sector.

• Provide IT systems/solutions maintenance and support by monitoring the systems/solutions technical and contractual

• Handles and responsible for all aspects of projects and Contract activities including tender and contracts execution from

maintenance upgrade support and associated services of software going through mobilization of contractors team until
the completion and handover of the procured system through coordination with vendors users and other ICT Divisions

toward its completion within budget within approved timelines and according to established/defined quality criterions and

standards.

• Reviews analyzes and evaluates user requirements and prepares feasibility/business case reports and technical

management arrangements to ensure that all project requirements are adequately documented.

• Designs tender technical evaluation criteria uses a project team to evaluate bids and recommends solutions to ensure

• Responsible and manages the installation user training commissioning IT purchased systems and postimplementation

to ensure proper implementation and that they are being used effectively.

• Establish involve and maintain relationship with the client all stakeholders and Senior Management / Steering

with present and future stakeholders coordinate internal resources and 3rd parties/vendors for the flawless execution of the

projects/programs.

• Participates in preparing the Section annual budget and projects plan in line with QatarEnergy financial policies and

manner

• Acts as on the Job Trainer/Coach for Qatari Associates and mentors junior project managers through both formal and

A minimum of 6 years of experience in technical support project delivery and system administration is required along with
the ability to demonstrate skills such as analytical thinking methodical problemsolving and an openminded approach to

learning and utilizing new business technology.

• Extensive knowledge of organizational procedures and policies with a steadfast commitment to strict compliance.

• Expertise in providing proficient support for ICT applications utilized in industrial cities within the Energy sector specifically

• Demonstrated expertise in executing system upgrade and migration activities with a strong emphasis on minimizing
