Position Overview:
The role of a Security Guard is critical in ensuring the safety and security of personnel property and assets within a designated area. Security Guards are responsible for maintaining a vigilant presence enforcing security protocols and responding to emergencies as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols of the assigned area to detect and deter unauthorized access suspicious activities or security breaches.
2. Access Control: Monitor entry and exit points verifying credentials and controlling access to restricted areas as per company policies and procedures.
3. Incident Response: Respond promptly to alarms disturbances or emergencies taking appropriate action to mitigate risks and maintain order.
4. Report Writing: Document all securityrelated incidents observations and activities accurately and thoroughly in written reports.
5. Customer Service: Provide courteous and professional assistance to employees visitors and contractors addressing inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.
6. Safety Measures: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols including fire prevention evacuation procedures and hazard recognition.
7. Equipment Operation: Operate security equipment such as CCTV cameras access control systems and communication devices proficiently.
8. Collaborative Efforts: Coordinate with law enforcement agencies emergency responders and other security personnel as needed to resolve security issues effectively.
9. Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance skills in security procedures crisis management and conflict resolution.
10. Risk Assessment: Conduct regular assessments of security risks and vulnerabilities recommending and implementing proactive measures to mitigate potential threats.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in securityrelated fields is preferred.
Valid security guard license or certification as required by local regulations.
Prior experience in security law enforcement or military service is advantageous.
Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
Physical fitness and ability to stand walk or patrol for extended periods.
Proficiency in using security equipment and computer applications.

Working Conditions:
Security Guards may work in various environments including office buildings retail stores industrial facilities or outdoor venues.
Shift work is common including evenings weekends and holidays.
Depending on the location exposure to adverse weather conditions or hazardous materials may occur.
The role may involve standing walking or patrolling for extended periods as well as occasional lifting or carrying of heavy objects.
