IT - Manager

We are seeking to hire an experienced Head of Information Technology to oversee all IT functions for our client. The Head of Technology will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's technology infrastructure and strategy. (S)he will be in charge of a team of IT personnel and will manage the company’s technology operations and the implementation of new IT systems and policies. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating and implementing IT policies and systems to meet objectives. The clear objective is to ensure that IT systems and personnel are effective and functioning within the company's budget time constraints and specifications.

Experience: 5 7 years

Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all technology operations (e.g. network security) and evaluate them according to established goals
• Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management
• Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs
• Purchase/create efficient and cost effective technological equipment and software
• Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency
• Identify the need for upgrades configurations or new systems and report to upper management
• Coordinate IT team and supervise computer scientists technicians and other professionals to provide guidance
• Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating costefficient contracts
• Understand basic programming and coding languages
• Be able to use creative IT applications such as corel draw etc

Requirements & Skills

• Proven experience as IT Manager or similar role
• Experience in analysis implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
• Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software) networks etc.
• Experience in controlling information technology budget
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Outstanding communication abilities

Educational Qualification

• First Degree in Computer Science Software engineering or other computer related course
