Procurement Manager (healthcare sector)
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to oversee their procurement operations within the healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships negotiating contracts and optimizing procurement processes to ensure the highest quality products and services at the best value. Key responsibilities include coordination and leading projects identifying opportunities for change and facilitating the implementation of strategies and clinical services with clinical leads (Allied Health and Laboratory Medicine departments).
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
Identify evaluate and select reliable suppliers/vendors capable of meeting healthcare standards and compliance.
Negotiate contracts terms and pricing agreements to secure favorable terms while maintaining quality standards.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders including physicians administrators and department heads to understand procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of supplies and equipment.
Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns to maintain a high level of service and product quality.
Analyze procurement data and trends to identify costsaving opportunities and improve efficiency.
Stay updated on industry trends regulations and best practices to drive continuous improvement in procurement processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in procurement preferably within the healthcare sector.
This role will support the Allied Health and Lab Med departments.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards related to procurement and supply chain management.
