effectiveness of the production process and the performance of industrial equipment.
evaluate equipment uptime/availability by calculating the proportion of time it is
accessible for production. This may be impacted by repairs malfunctions or transitions.
Monitor and report on equipment performance to evaluate the speed at which equipment
functions in relation to its optimum capacity assessing variables such as cycle duration
output rate and equipment dependability. Keeps track of the proportion of goods that
fulfill quality requirements to analyze the rate of production from the manufacturing
equipment that is free of defects.
2. Monitor and report on machine downtime to determine the reasons for equipment
failures their frequency and the need for maintenance and replacements to aid
enhancement of machine dependability and reduction of unscheduled downtime using
MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) analysis to aid the understanding of the
performance and dependability of equipment identifying trouble spots and enhancing
maintenance plans.
