Position: System Engineer (Work from Home mostly)

Job Location: Tanzania East Africa

Experience: Preferred 25 years of experience in a company.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Studies from an accredited institution.

Certification Required: Microsoft Certified Professional

Reporting to: Head of Department

Company details: Company is (Indian NRI management) a wellestablished IT Solution organization since 25 years catering to Tanzania and neighboring Countries Malawi Lesotho Ghana Uganda and Rwanda.

The primary job location is Mumbai and is mostly Work from Home.

However if the work policy is changed in future to report physically to office then the candidate must be flexible for the same.

The role may require you to Visit Client onsite in Africa expected period of a single tenure is 1 week to 3 months depending on the requirement. Client locations currently are neighboring Countries Malawi Lesotho Ghana Uganda and Rwanda. These countries do not have any major safety issues.

Company takes care of Accommodation/Stay at hotel security transport to/fro client office travel insurance.

Job Skills:

• Proven work experience as a Support Engineer Technical Support Engineer or similar role
• Handson experience with Windows/Linux environments
• Microsoft Windows Server administration and management
• Virtualization management preferably VMware
• Working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals like printers and scanners
• Knowledge of network security practices and antivirus programs
• Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions
• Excellent problemsolving and multitasking skills
• Customeroriented attitude
• Advantage if you know : Release management using Microsoft Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide tier 2 support analysis and resolution planning for detected issues and seeks appropriate resolution of issues. (Desktop & Laptop Application
• Network & Server Platform troubleshooting)
• Responsible for receiving / logging calls from customers as per specified organization standards.
• Responsible for handling all tickets across sites locally/remotely (Using a remote tool)
• Escalate and track the troubleticket progress with other support/nextlevel teams to make sure the tickets are being resolved within the agreed SLA time frame.
• Networking Knowledge is Must.
• Good knowledge of Windows/Linux OS and networking environments Virtual Server
• Diagnose technical issues including Windows Linux and network device (Router Switches and Firewall) configurations.
• Prepare technical documentation

• User confirmed problem resolution
• Tutor confirmed training lab setup completion
• Call recording and reporting

Levels of Authority:

• Infrastructure management related to systems installation and VMs creation
• Move computers across departments with documentation
• Test and training environments

Remuneration Structure:

• Indian Salary and Laptop / PC to Work from home.
• When Onsite at Client in East Africa : Additional Daily $ Allowance Shared Apartment with other team member or Hotel Transport to/fro client office security travel insurance
• Client onsite will be for 1 Week to 2/3 months depending on requirement.
