Senior Cybersecurity Advisor
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional for our client in the insurance industry. This role is initially for paternity leave coverage with the potential for further opportunities within the company upon completion of the contract. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of cybersecurity are met and maintained leading sophisticated projects and collaborating closely with various business lines and IT support functions.

Responsibilities:
Lead one or more key team responsibilities.
Provide security advice to mitigate cybersecurity risks on complex projects.
Review architecture documents and create detailed security assessment documents.
Implement security controls for new technologies.
Manage various projects ranging from simple to highly complex.
Collaborate with various business lines and IT support functions.
Promote awareness of the clients Cybersecurity Standards and Policies.
Support management on cybersecurity matters efficiently.
Address and manage consulting requests related to security from IT and business users.
What you will need to succeed:
Postsecondary education in Computer Science Computer Engineering IT security risk management or comparable professional training.
Professional designations such as CISSP CISA CISM CCSP/CCSK GIAC are preferred.
5 to 7 years of experience in cybersecurity focusing on information security risk assessments or application security design & architecture.
Leadership experience in at least one key area of team responsibility.
Experience in cybersecurity threat risk assessments for new applications systems and cloudbased solutions.
Proficiency in 3rd party risk assessments.
Knowledge of DevOps microservices and cloud technologies is an asset.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity industry standards principles practices and risk concepts.
Excellent communication skills including report writing and presentations.
Ability to understand complex business processes and technical systems.
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups and navigate ambiguity.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities concurrently.
Familiarity with Ariba Archer GRC or equivalent platforms.
Knowledge of PCI Compliance requirements and attestation processes.
Experience in the financial services or insurance industry.
