About The Role
This leadership position oversees the Patient Financial Services team playing a key role in accurate billing timely account resolution and staff development. You will provide ongoing coaching maintain positive relationships with payers and collaborate on revenue cycle initiatives to optimize financial performance.
Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of Patient Financial Services staff.
Foster effective communication with staff payers and internal departments.
Ensure the team adheres to payerspecific billing and collection regulations.
Analyze and resolve billing issues to minimize claim denials and optimize revenue capture.
Monitor and report on key performance metrics including accounts receivable goals and denial rates.
Collaborate with the Patient Access Manager to identify and implement process improvements.
Oversee the training and development of staff on billing processes and healthcare systems.
Conduct quality checks and intervene to resolve complex patient accounts.
Complete assigned billing tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
Contribute to the Corporate Compliance work plan and report any potential issues.
Required Experience
Associates degree or technical school training in a healthcarerelated field.
Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Patient Financial Services or a related healthcare revenue cycle role.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Excellent communication interpersonal and problemsolving skills.
Proficiency in hospital and thirdparty billing regulations.
Preferred Experience
Prior leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
Working knowledge of CPT and ICD10 coding.
Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
