Job Description
Professional summary:
The main responsibility of the service manager is to proactively develop and manage the workshop and parts business and operations for Port Elizabeth and East London in order to maximize customer and employee customer satisfaction as well as business performance contributing to the profitable growth of the organization.The service manager ensure that customers have great confidence in the workshop and parts department through the provision of excellent service by managing employees and customer relationships. End to end management of teams assigned.
Requirements
Applicant must meet these minimum requirements:
- Matric certificate or N3 equivalent
- Qualified Diesel Technician with Trade Test Certificate
- 46 years experience
- Previous workshop experience with repairing and maintaining heavy vehicles.
- Supervisory or managerial role experience
- Workshop/Parts management experience
- Computer literacy MS Office Organizational Systems.
- Medically Fit
- Organization product and service knowledge.

Professional Competencies:
- Workshop management Manage and plan the daily operations of the workshop working with and acting on deviations. Leading and motivating the workshop and service staff.
- Workshop customer relations Develop and manage customer relationships ensuring that customer needs are met and services are developed to meet the future needs of the customers.
- Workshop Service solution sale Increase service solutions by developing maintaining and communicating the services portfolio and solutions according to customer needs.
- Follow up workshop results Develop the workshop business by following up on budget results operational targets and taking measures in order to achieve set targets.
Applicants must meet the minimum requirements: Matric certificate or N3 or equivalent Qualified Diesel Technician with a Trade Test Certificate Minimum of 3 years of working experience as a Diesel Technician Workshop experience with repairing and maintaining heavy vehicles. Driver's license, code 14 Medically fit Competencies: Products and Service Repair and Maintenance SHE Using Information Technology Customer Focus and Team Professional Competencies: Before Maintenance or Repair Event - Secure that the right information, tools and spare parts are available During Maintenance or Repair Event - Through well-known and described working methods and standards perform maintenance or repair on time in a correct and safe way After Maintenance or Repair Event - Secure minimized lead time of invoicing. Through clear description of performed work and/or communicated what needs to be done if the work is handed over to a colleague
