Job Description

This is a remote position.

We are seeking highly qualified translators to join our team. The ideal candidates will possess the necessary educational background and extensive experience in translation. Our translators will work on translating documents related to international development ensuring accuracy and highquality output.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate translations of documents in the context of international development activities.
  • Proofread and postedit translated documents to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Collaborate with the project management and web development teams to deliver translations that meet project needs.
  • Utilize and contribute to a shared termbase of specialized terminology.
  • Ensure outstanding quality control of translated products.
  • Use designated translation platforms and accommodate various file formats.


Requirements

Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree with at least 20 years of experience in translation.
    • Masters degree with at least 16 years of experience in translation.
    • Ph.D. with at least 12 years of experience in translation.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in translating and proofreading documents.
  • Expertise in the field of international development is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Familiarity with translation platforms such as Crowdin.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.




Fluency in Spanish and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages. Proven experience as an interpreter, preferably in a social service, legal, or healthcare setting. Understanding the unique needs and challenges faced by at-risk youth and cultural competency in working with diverse populations. Ability to maintain professionalism, composure, and empathy in emotionally charged situations. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and protocols governing the care and protection of at-risk youth is a plus but not a requirement.
