We are hiring a Staff Nurse Oncology in a Private Hospital in Dublin Ireland. Fulltime/Permanent
Responsibilities
- To be aware of the practices and policies set out by the Hospital and the Department of Health on the safe administration of cytotoxic preparations.
- To work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receiving chemotherapy have continued access to specialist care expertise and knowledge.
- The administration of prescribed cytotoxic chemotherapy to oncology patients via PICC cannula Hickman or Portacath.
- To administer chemotherapy according to the protocols as set out by the hospital Cancer Centre.
- To provide information about treatment and side effects giving written information as appropriate.
Requirements
- Candidates must be on the Register of General Nurses (NMBI)
- Have 1 year of postregistration experience in an acute hospital setting
- Experience within an Oncology setting
- Have proven clinical and professional ability.
- Be an effective communicator with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
