Drafter - Civil Construction

Under the supervision of the Project Services Manager the drafter uses digital tools and available information to produce technical and contract documentation for the construction of the project.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Providing the project team with finished plans specifications and material selections ensuring the design intent is incorporated into the construction documentation;
  
• Model/Draw elements of the projects to which they are assigned;
  
• Model ground surfaces and calculate volumes;
  
• Model and plan the changes made during the project in order to establish costs;
  
• Produce conceptual and technical plans for various elements related to EBC s working methods;
  
• Perform simple automation and basic programming;
  
• Develop technical documentation;
  
• Participate in construction administration evaluate bids conduct site visits address technical issues and maintain quality control during construction.
  

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Surveying or a combination of training and experience in the construction industry;
  
• 5 or more years of relevant experience with drafting software;
  
• BIM experience in the engineering and construction industry would be considered an asset;
  
• Civil project experience would be considered an asset;
  
• Bilingual (an asset) but proficiency in English language with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) is required.
