Position: SchoolBased Occupational Therapist

Location: Various School Districts near Ellijay Georgia

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is seeking a committed and patientfocused Occupational Therapist to join our team and support school districts in Georgia. This role involves developing recovering or maintaining the daily living and work skills of students with physical mental or developmental conditions. You will provide effective and clientcentered services enabling students to confidently and independently carry out everyday tasks or activities.

As a schoolbased Occupational Therapist you will use meaningful activities to help children participate in what they need to promote physical and mental wellbeing. You will work with an elementary school caseload and collaborate with other staff members to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to evaluate students fine motor skills sensory processing visualmotor integration and activities of daily living.
  
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and in collaboration with the students educational team and family.
  
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students including therapeutic activities sensory integration techniques and assistive technology training.
  
• Collaborate with teachers special education staff and other related service providers to integrate therapy goals into students educational programs and classroom activities.
  
• Monitor students progress and adjust treatment plans as needed maintaining accurate documentation of therapy sessions and progress reports.
  
• Educate and empower students families and school staff regarding strategies for promoting independence participation and functional skills within the school setting.
  
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings including IEP meetings to develop and review Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student.
  

Requirements

• Commitment to completing tasks on time and consistently following through.
  
• Comfortable collaborating with a team.
  
• Ability to include all children in the learning process regardless of their disabilities.
  
• Genuine enjoyment of working with special needs children
  
• Master s degree in Occupational Therapy.
  
• Valid occupational therapy license.
  
• Teaching certification from the state of Georgia to provide therapy services to schoolaged students.
