Job Description

Client: A subsidiary of a leading oil and gas exploration and production company.

Location: Kuala Lumpur Malaysia

Type of hiring: Yearly

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of COMPANY Asset and Functional Leads in prioritizing and coordinating activities over the mediumterm (2 years) to ensure effective execution of the business plan.
  • Develop and maintain the Integrated Asset Plan (IAP) for up to 2 years ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational needs.
  • Perform regular analysis of asset performance reliability and availability identifying areas for enhancement and optimization on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams (including operations maintenance subsurface drilling and completion and project teams) to formulate integrated asset plans considering factors such as maintenance schedules production targets and resource limitations.
  • Utilize advanced planning tools and software with a preference for Primavera to model scenarios and evaluate the impact of different strategies on asset performance and production targets.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain uninterrupted asset operations and minimize downtime.
  • Participate in assetrelated meetings offering insights recommendations and updates on planning activities.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to schedule asset availability and maintenance activities in a manner that minimizes disruptions to production.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and technological advancements to identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation within the asset planning function.
  • Provide mentorship to less experienced onshore engineering support staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in an Engineeringrelated discipline or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience in the oil and gas sector with a significant portion focused on asset integrated planning.
  • Proficiency in utilizing planning software and tools is essential. Previous experience with Primavera is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English both spoken and written is required.
  • Previous knowledge and experience in managing technical matters related to either operations or subsurface activities is advantageous.
  • Preference will be given to local candidates.
