Job Description

Job title: National Head Sales

Department/Unit: Sales

Reporting to Managing Director

Location: Base location will be Bangalore however he/she needs to travel to our markets across India.

Terms: Permanent/40 Hours/Full time

Requirements: Flexibility of working hours (as & if required)


About the role: Heading the sales department for the Pitched roofing business of India. Pitched roofing products are manufactured at present in two of our factories in India and many are imported from our other factories worldwide.


Responsibilities :

Develop and execute effective sales strategies to grow our business.

Grow the market in depth and breadth.

Lead and motivate the India sales team to achieve sales targets

Establish productive and professional relationships with key stakeholders accounts

Negotiate and close agreements with large customers

Grow and improve the dealer network in India

Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements

Prepare monthly quarterly and annual sales forecasts

Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities

Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients needs

Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments and provide necessary input for new product introduction

Stay uptodate with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board

Major Results and/or performance level expected out job :

Quantitative :

Achieve sales targets in volumes and value

Improve the Contribution Margin (CM) of the pitched roofing products

Qualitative :

Monitor and grow the enquiry and order pipeline of the sales team

Maintain the quality of the CRM reporting of the team

Guide and plan the sales improvement activities conducted by the team

Job Effectiveness :

Able to submit an accurate sales forecast based on the market trends

Good contacts with architects and builders across India.

Candidate requirements:

Graduate/ Post Graduate in any discipline

15 to 20 years of experience with at least 3 to 5 years heading sales department

Proficiency in languages read/ write/ speak (English/Hindi/Local language)

Strategic planning decision making excellent communication skills team leadership client relationship management forecasting market trends presentation & negotiation Skills computer proficiency result oriented key accounts management skills and teamwork

Good knowledge about the building material industry in India and about various competitors
