Job Description

Role Title: MS Dynamics Solutions Architect/ Developer

Contract Duration or Perm: 6 month Contract to Hire

Remote: Remote but wants it to be in twin cities Chicago or Kansas city areas. Expectation of occasional travel or office meetings. Primarily at home. 85pm CT give or take

USC or GC contract to hire

Interview Process: Most likely 2 steps

  • Day to Day:
    • CHR owns MS Dynamics 365 cloud version
    • This person is responsible for solutioning they have BAs handling biz needs and who will work hand in hand with this person who will define exactly what needs to be done (creation of stories etc)
    • This person is not responsible for agile/scrum processes they will work in an agile process though
    • Will help detail what the needs are with BAs too
    • Right now:
      • How do we architect getting financial and business data from snowflake into atmosphere to get this data in front of sales and ams
        1. YOY volume for example financial data that is valuable based on accounts
      • Commercial wants the ability to push actionable insights to sales and account management AM goes in and has a list of things to catch up on in a given week or i need to call out to groups in order to maintain relationships this person needs to architect the solution on what tools are needed to get these things in the right place for that AM to be able to access what they need. Power flow needed to trigger items within the atmosphere
    • Ongoing support and maintenance (SSIS packages to be maintained and ran ideal for these to be automated eventually)Territory changes territory alignments account alignment changes
    • Maintain best practices to keep them in alignment with MS wave releases
    • No code low code but need to create custom solutions too
    • Atmosphere what they call their D365 instance
    • Sales and customer service modules may add marketing
    • Need an eye and thought for automating things
    • 50/50 hands on vs. Architecture need someone who can come in and be hands on not just delegate
  • Must Have:
    • 23 years of experience as an Architect
    • 510 years of experience with MS Dynamics
    • Specific experience with Sales and Customer Service Modules
    • 23 years with MSD 365 (cloud specific)
      • Azure
    • Connecting and integrating 3rd party systems
    • Power Apps
    • Power Flow
    • Power Automate
    • C# and .NET
    • Visual Studio
    • SSIS
    • ETL Platforms
    • SQL
  • Nice to Have:
    • Snowflake
    • Experience in UX being in tune to the experience of the salesperson/AM working as a user
      • Past UX experience or ability to be in those shoes
    • Logistics Experience / Enterprise Experience
  • Soft Skills
    • Collaborative/good communication
    • Have an opinion about things dont just go with the flow (go with the flow when its appropriate dont be a roadblock just bc)
    • The team struggles with taking action need someone who can be proactive and go above and beyond
    • Leadership ability to give direction (not a people manager tho)
    • dont want someone whos going to come in and cruise want someone who wants to come in and want to grow and lead
  • Team
    • Work with PM 3 BAs Technical Analyst and QA person

    • He was great was able to work independently make good decisions and still inform
    • Communication and documentation was good
    • He wasnt always working on the right things need to make sure youre spending your time in the right spots
      • He was very focused on the customer service side but needed more help on the commercial side. Both will need help here but need to know what is the most important

Microsoft Dynamics Solutions Architect

Role Overview:

As a Microsoft Dynamics Solutions Architect you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering technology solutions that meet the organizations needs now and in the future. Your expertise will span across various areas including customer engagement finance and operations and the core platform.

Responsibilities:

  1. Solution Design and Implementation:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
    • Design endtoend solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365 ensuring scalability performance and alignment with best practices.
    • Integrate Dynamics 365 with other enterprise systems leveraging data transformation tools.
    • Create customized solutions using a mix of nocode lowcode and custom development approaches.
  2. Technical Expertise:
    • Possess deep knowledge of Dynamics 365 including both Sales and Customer Service modules.
    • Understand warehouse processes continuous implementation/deployment (CI/CD) processes and Azure Pipelines/GitHub Actions.
    • Stay uptodate with the latest features updates and trends in the Dynamics 365 ecosystem.
  3. Collaboration:
    • Work closely with crossfunctional teams including developers business analysts and project managers.
    • Collaborate with Microsoft and thirdparty providers to identify the right configuration of services for the organization.
  4. Solution Adoption:
    • Ensure successful deployment and adoption of solutions by endusers.
    • Provide training guidance and coaching to consultants and senior consultants.
    • Participate in knowledgesharing activities within the organization.
  5. Quality Assurance:
    • Support quality assurance efforts throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Review solution designs code and implementation plans to ensure alignment with best practices.
