Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detailoriented Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daytoday accounting tasks ensuring accuracy in financial records and supporting the overall financial operations of the company. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and professional development within our dynamic organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices payments and receipts. Monitor accounts to ensure timely payment and collection.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and assist in the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries for various transactions including accruals prepaids and adjustments.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and help investigate discrepancies.
  • Expense Reports: Review and process employee expense reports ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Support MonthEnd Close: Assist in the monthend close process ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies. Assist with audits and compliance reviews.
  • Fixed Assets Management: Help maintain fixed asset records and perform periodic reconciliations.
  • Tax Filings: Assist with the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with local state and federal regulations.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Provide support for special projects and financial analysis as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
  • 2 years of accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical organizational and problemsolving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
