Warehouse Supervisor

Looking for a Warehouse Supervisor for our client based in Almelo NL.

Tasks

Purpose of the position:

The Supervisor is responsible for the coordination and management of all activities in the department. He/she is the first point of contact for our Warehouse Manager and is aware of everything that happens in the warehouse. This includes daily and shortterm planning the execution of tasks and the organization of all work within the department. Responsible for the correct staffing and absenteeism management and performance management of the team. Operational matters are assessed and adjusted and improved where necessary. The supervisor manages leads and ensures that the departments objectives as set by the management team are achieved.

The work is carried out in 2 shifts.

Requirements

Activities and responsibilities*:

• Ensures the coordination of all activities in the department;
• Responsible for a good transfer between shifts and to other departments;
• Responsible for inventory accuracy for raw inventory and finished products;
• Achieving goals on qualitative and quantitative aspects;
• Ensures the correct attendance and absence registration of staff and staff planning;
• Conducts job interviews and assessment interviews;
• Ensures that staff in the department are trained and have the correct level of knowledge;
• Responsible for monitoring the planning;
• Responsible for carrying out sampling for quality and quantity;
• Supports the team with knowledge of processes and in their optimization/standardization;
• Acts as a means of escalation to the manager and can make decisions in the correct followup;
• Responsible for the implementation of corrective/preventive actions in own department;
• Identifying bottlenecks and making suggestions about adjustments to policies and/or procedures and plans;

Knowledge and skills:

• Works in a structured way keeps an overview and has excellent communication skills;
• Good knowledge of the Dutch language; both oral and written;
• Basic knowledge of the English language; both oral and written;
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office);
• Experience with thinking in solutions problemsolving ability;
• Has leadership capabilities is able to enthuse a team and create support within a team;
• Can handle workload well and keep an overview;
• Can plan and organize well.

Course:

At least MBO4 or this level obtained through demonstrable work experience.

Several years of demonstrable managerial experience.
