Title: Contractor Handyman

Location: Oldham

Type: Fulltime 40 hours

Salary: 100 125 per day depending on experience

Job Overview: We seek an experienced Contractor Handyman to perform various maintenance repair and renovation tasks for residential and commercial properties in Oldham. The ideal candidate will have a wideranging skill set be selfdriven and capable of working independently to maintain high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance and repair tasks in areas including carpentry plumbing electrical work painting and masonry.
• Conduct inspections to identify necessary repairs or improvements.
• Install fixtures and appliances as required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor electrical issues such as replacing outlets light fixtures and circuit breakers.
• Handle plumbing repairs including fixing leaks unclogging drains and installing new plumbing fixtures.
• Undertake carpentry tasks such as building and repairing furniture doors windows and cabinets.
• Complete painting projects including surface preparation priming and finishing.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Deliver excellent customer service and foster positive client relationships.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and building codes.
• Document all work performed and communicate effectively with clients and management.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of various trades including carpentry plumbing electrical work and painting.
• Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read technical manuals drawings and diagrams.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to handle various tasks and tools.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Must have own car and valid drivers license.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with residential and commercial property maintenance.
• Ability to use a wide range of tools and equipment.
• Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations.
• Tiling experience would be advantages.

Working Conditions:

• Flexible hours based on project requirements.
• Work may be performed indoors or outdoors depending on the task.
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
