Job Description:
- This is a special project to build a new educational media steaming service.
- We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) who has a knack for breaking websites and is passionate about our customers never experiencing a subpar product.
- The ideal candidate is extremely detail oriented has great communication and organizations skills and loves to tinker.
- QAEs regularly work with Developers Product Managers and other Quality Engineers to ensure the proper operation of the production environment.
- They are responsible for understanding the domain and the product in detail and coming up with the test strategy/planning working with engineering teams to build integration tests driving the test case signoff processes with the stakeholders and lead test execution and reporting.
- You will need to work efficiently and effectively in a fun fastpaced dynamic team environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the sign off process ensuring completed tickets satisfy requirements
- Have a clear understanding of the product use case and ensure the product is operating as intended
- Manually test the application attempting to uncover bugs or other deficiencies
Lead the testing strategy
- Work alongside development teams to build integration tests
- Work with program managers and development teams to ensure acceptance criteria is testable
Basic
- 4 years of quality assurance engineering experience
- Experience in manual testing
- Experience in automation testing
- Experience scripting or coding
- Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects
- Experience with at least one automated test framework like Selenium or Cypress
Preferred
- Experience with test management software such as Zephyr or TestRail
- Experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality
