GTRI Digital Transformation Technology Architect

Supervises the installation configuration and support to a local area network wide area network internet system computers desktops and/or mobile devices. Recommends equipment improvement or replacement.

• The Georgia Tech Research Institute seeks a highly skilled and experienced Technology Architect to join our Digital Transformation team and help lead our modernization efforts.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding and implementing the migration of our software development teams to newer architectures approaches and standards.
• This role is critical in shaping our technology roadmap and ensuring our systems are modern scalable and efficient.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Lead the architectural design and implementation of new systems and technology upgrades
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to define and implement technical solutions
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to architectural best practices
• Evaluate and recommend new technology solutions to support business objectives
• Define and document application architecture standards and best practices
• Lead and participate in architectural discussions and decisions
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in application architecture

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
• 10 years of experience in application architecture design and development
• Expertise in Spring Boot Python Angular Vue React or similar technologies
• Proficiency in cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure
• Strong understanding of design patterns and architectural principles
• Experience with modern software development methodologies (Agile and DevOps)
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Experience in leading and mentoring development teams
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong problemsolving and critical thinking abilities
