As a Data Engineer Intern at Axpo you will engage in diverse and challenging data engineering tasks and projects. These efforts are pivotal in innovating our processes and supporting both employees and customers in their daily challenges. Youll handle a variety of data types from technical to financial structured to unstructured and static to realtime. Joining an interdisciplinary team of engineers youll contribute to the development and operation of datadriven digital products.

What you will do:

• Design build deploy and improve sustainable data pipelines and models
• Orchestrate and monitor data processes
• Deploy and operate necessary data infrastructure such as SQL Servers Azure Data Factory etc. on our Azure cloud
• Provide pragmatic solutions to improve and maintain data quality and visibility
• Collaborate with product managers and business stakeholders to build data products
• Scout for new technologies and trends in the field of data engineering
• Share and exchange your knowledge with others

What you bring & who you are:

• Ongoing or recently completed university degree in IT Engineering or a similar field
• Proficiency in SQL ETL IaC Monitoring Testing Azure Data Factory Python git and CI/CD
• Solid understanding of Dataframes and data manipulation libraries like Pandas Pyspark and Koalas
• Ability to see the big picture with a good sense of necessary quality
• Strong motivation to apply data engineering skills to improve digital solutions and a continuous learning mindset
• Fluency in English
