RN First Assistant

This is a 8hour shift 5 days each week with the shift schedule being from 7:00 15:30 total of 40 hours per week. RN First Assistant with Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification Need 2 Professional References. The allinclusive hourly nonlocal pay rate for this position is $58.69/hr encompassing a taxable component of $47.36/hr along with a per diem of $11.33/hr. Work Location: 2001 W 86th Street Indianapolis IN 46260 . Local Rates (Below 50 Miles): $46.70/hr. Reward on non local rate: $7.90/hr.

Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center Main OR with 30 ORs CVOR with 9 ORs ECMO program

Roles and amp; Responsibilities

Provide direct assistance to surgeons during surgical procedures.

• Position patient to give best exposure for surgical procedure using stabilizing equipment when necessary while maximizing patient comfort and safety.
• Provide visualization of the operative site using appropriate method including manipulation of tissue and materials retraction sponging suctioning and irrigation.
• Utilize appropriate technique to achieve temporary and permanent hemostasis.
• Assist with body plane closure application of wound dressings and securing of drainage systems.
• Assist in room clean up and the removal of the soiled case cart supplies and trash from OR room as needed at the completion of the surgical case.
• Participate as a surgical team member in the preparation of the surgical suite according to surgeons preference cards with appropriate instruments resources and supplies.

Minimum Qualifications

• RNFA with 2 years of Peds CVOR/ECMO experience Revamping Peds OH program by collaborating with anohter well known Peds CV Hospital. and nbsp;
• Looking to start cases in May potentially. Need flexible work hours to support cases during the day when scheduled and then heavy call coverage support needed for CV surgery and ECMO. and nbsp;
• Initially 50% call coverage. 45 minute response time During scheduled work hours scrub/assist on pediatric general and CV cases
