Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Bilingual School Psychologist fluent in both English and Spanish to join our team for the upcoming school year. This role is a fantastic opportunity to support the academic social and emotional development of a diverse student body within our school community.
Overview:
  • Conduct Assessments: Perform psychological evaluations to assess students cognitive academic social and emotional functioning using standardized and culturally appropriate methods.
  • Collaborative Planning: Work with educators parents and other professionals to create Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and tailored intervention plans for students with varied needs.
  • Counseling and Crisis Intervention: Provide individual and group counseling and crisis intervention services applying culturally sensitive techniques.
  • Resource for Staff: Offer training and consultation on issues related to multiculturalism diversity and bilingual education to school staff.
  • Multidisciplinary Team Meetings: Participate in team meetings to discuss student progress share insights and develop comprehensive support strategies.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments counseling sessions and intervention plans adhering to state and federal regulations.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in school psychology by attending workshops and conferences.
  • Community Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with students families and the school community fostering an inclusive and respectful environment.

Requirements

Educational Background: Master s Degree in School Psychology.
Certification: Possess or be eligible to apply for an Illinois PEL certification.
Licensures: Must have a school psychology license in the state of Illinois.
Experience: Prior experience working in educational settings with culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
Language Proficiency: Bilingual in English and Spanish capable of conducting assessments and providing counseling services in both languages.
