About The Role

This leadership role oversees a team of underwriters focusing on loan applications from healthcare professionals. You will play a key part in evaluating creditworthiness approving loans and ensuring portfolio profitability. Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze loan applications from healthcare professionals.
  

• Evaluate creditworthiness and make lending decisions according to established guidelines.
  

• Resolve customer inquiries and complaints related to loan applications.
  

• Process loan documents and support branch staff in promoting loan products.
  

• Participate in the recruitment training and development of underwriting staff.
  

• Oversee loan approval processes and ensure adherence to credit quality standards.
  

• Monitor portfolio performance and implement strategies to maintain profitability.
  

• Provide leadership and guidance to underwriters and contribute to team success.
  

• Collaborate with management on workflow optimization and efficiency improvements.
  

• Foster a positive and professional work environment with strong communication and customer service.
  

• Identify crossselling opportunities for additional bank products and services.
  

• Perform other duties as assigned.
  

Required Experience

• Bachelors degree in finance business administration or a related field.
  

• 7 years of experience in loan underwriting.
  

• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  

• Excellent communication interpersonal and leadership skills.
  

• Proficiency in loan processing and underwriting procedures.
  

Preferred Experience

• Experience in managing a team of underwriters.
  

• Proven track record of exceeding loan portfolio profitability goals.
  

• Knowledge of the healthcare industry.
