Job Description:
The NDT Technician is responsible for conducting nondestructive testing (NDT) on materials components and assemblies to identify defects and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Requirements
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform various nondestructive testing methods including but not limited to ultrasonic testing (UT) radiography testing (RT) magnetic particle testing (MT) and dye penetrate testing (PT).
- Evaluate the integrity and properties of materials and components to detect imperfections such as cracks voids and inclusions.
- Prepare and maintain detailed test reports and documentation in compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Interpret and analyze NDT results providing accurate and clear feedback to engineers and production teams.
- Ensure all testing equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment always.
- Assist in the development and improvement of NDT procedures and techniques.
- Communicate effectively with team members supervisors and clients regarding test results and findings.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Material Science or a related field (required).
- Certification in NDT methods such as ASNT Level I or II or equivalent (preferred).
- Strong understanding of NDT techniques and principles.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to nondestructive testing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
