Job Description

MIS PLM/Sales Business Analyst

Department: MIS

Location: New York

Reporting To: Applications Manager PLM/Sales

Summary:

Person would be responsible for the management and administration of the GIII PLM systems. Duties would encompass meeting with the business IT and 3rd party vendors with daytoday production support as well as project and enhancements support tasks. The position will be a functional liaison between GIII business GIII IT and 3rd party vendors. This position will be responsible for gathering and documenting system requirements to meet business objectives within the Design Development Production and Sales teams in fully utilizing the PLM systems and processes. The individual will be the company champion in continuing process automation bestpractices as well as supporting integration with GIII Applications.

Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Functional knowledge and understanding of the end to end process related to Design Production and Sales process flow within GIII
  • Proficiency and expertise in working with an Enterprise PLM Solutions
  • Develop change request Specifications that support business/systems requirements.
  • Document any change requests and requirements in a consistent business language approach. Work with the business to review the solution requirements and receive approval
  • Work with IT team and/or 3rd party vendor(s) to interpret the needs of GIII to deliver business solutions
  • Prepare project plans (working with the business) detailing out the delivery testing and implementation tasks and timelines
  • Develop and execute integrated testing scripts and testing evidence. Coordinate with and incorporate business leads into the testing process
  • Where required maintain project plans for tasks where the level of change(s) requires a much more coordinated and managed level of planning (i.e. Application upgrades Division level implementations etc.)
  • Work closely with IT and business partners to assure the timeliness for the completion of projects and change requests
  • Develop or oversee the development of documentation and materials needed by IT Auditors and business domains
  • Provide handson review and training sessions as and when required
  • Provide a professional level of IT support to the business community on systems and processes within the domain utilizing the internal Incident tracking software (GIII IT Support Center) as needed
  • Working closely with resources (internal and external) to assist with issue resolution and escalation when appropriate including but not limited to:
  • Application errors or issues
  • System/Application performance issues
  • Data interfaces errors resolution
  • Discrepancy reporting and resolution

Education and/or Experience:

  • Candidate must have past experience (4 years) in working with PLM Systems and/or processes that encompass Design Development and Production flows
  • Candidate must have knowledge of capturing and documenting Functional Requirements Test Scripts and System Documentation (including Visio flows swimlanes data integration schemas)
  • Agile methodology experience preferred
  • Data Migration experience preferred
  • Must have strong communication skills verbal and written with ability to articulate complex system processes and requirements
  • Must be familiar with Fashion Industry (Apparel Footwear Accessories) business processes
  • End user or implementation experience with enterprise PLM solutions.
  • Experience with configuration reporting/analytical and database query tools
  • Should be comfortable with handson instructor led role to a business or IT user group
  • Must be familiar and able to define and build documents using standard tools Word Excel Power Point Project and Visio

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management systems and procedures
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Must have strong written skills with the ability to convey clear and concise thoughts and ideas
  • Should have good interpersonal skills to deal with user community and vendors
