Job Description

Seeking a Bilingual School Psychologist for the upcoming academic year! Our team is seeking a dedicated professional fluent in both English and Spanish to provide comprehensive psychological services to students in need. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support the academic social and emotional wellbeing of a diverse student population within our school community.

Responsibilities include conducting psychological assessments to evaluate students cognitive academic social and emotional functioning utilizing standardized tools and culturally appropriate methods. Collaborate with educators parents and other professionals to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and intervention plans for students with diverse needs. Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students experiencing social emotional or behavioral challenges incorporating culturally sensitive approaches.

Position Insights:

Serve as a resource for school staff on issues related to multiculturalism diversity and bilingual education offering training and consultation as needed. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress share insights and develop comprehensive support plans. Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessment results counseling sessions and intervention plans ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Stay current with research and best practices in school psychology attending professional development workshops and conferences as appropriate. Foster positive relationships with students families and the broader school community promoting a culture of inclusivity equity and respect.

Requirements

  • Fluent in both English and Spanish.
  • Masters degree in School Psychology or a closely related field.
  • Illinois State licensures or certification as a School Psychologist.
  • Experience working in educational settings with culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
