Job Description

Partner Staffing is the "go to recruiter" for difficult important and timesensitive positions in Western Canada. We work with proactive clients who understand the importance of having exceptional staff.


Partner Staffing is currently working with our client to find a Senior Contracts Specialist for a contract lasting up to a year. Reporting to the Manager this individual will develop analyze negotiate and administer services or materials contracts. They will take a lead role in the competitive bid process including RFP development supplier evaluation and selection contract negotiation and award while minimizing commercial and legal risk. This individual will be responsible for the development and execution of best practice sourcing and contracting strategies and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing vendors and establishing strategy and objectives for sourcing.
  • Manage the contract process from beginning to end. Consider the impacts of the contracts and advise on legal impacts. Manage changes and disputes.
  • Collaborate with teams and business units. manage supplier performance and establish continuous improvement programs.


Requirements

Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or equivalent procurement certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years related experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Work experience increasing level of responsibility in strategic sourcing and Supplier Management.
  • Project procurement experience in an EPC environment preferred.
  • Background in electrical utilities industry an asset.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
