Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Account Director to join our advertising agency in Sandton.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing client accounts ensuring successful campaign execution and maintaining strong client relationships. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of the advertising industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients fostering strong longterm relationships.
Understand client goals and objectives ensuring campaigns align with their business strategies.
Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates gather feedback and ensure satisfaction.

Campaign Strategy and Execution
Develop and oversee the implementation of comprehensive advertising strategies for clients.
Collaborate with creative media and digital teams to ensure cohesive and effective campaign execution.
Monitor and analyse campaign performance providing insights and recommendations for optimization.

Project Management
Manage multiple client projects simultaneously ensuring timely delivery and within budget constraints.
Coordinate internal and external resources to meet project milestones and client expectations.
Maintain detailed project documentation and provide regular status reports to clients and agency leadership.

Financial Management
Develop and manage project budgets ensuring cost efficiency and profitability.
Prepare and present financial reports including budget forecasts and actuals.
Negotiate contracts and manage client billing and invoicing processes.

Team Leadership and Collaboration
Lead and mentor account management team members providing guidance and support.
Foster a collaborative work environment promoting open communication and teamwork.
Participate in hiring and training new team members as needed.

Business Development
Identify opportunities for account growth and new business within existing client portfolios.
Collaborate with the business development team to pitch and secure new clients.
Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategic planning.

Requirements

Qualifications:
Education and Experience

Bachelor s degree in Marketing Advertising Business or a related field.
Minimum of 57 years of experience in account management within the advertising or marketing industry.
Proven track record of successfully managing and growing client accounts.
Skills and Competencies

Strong strategic thinking and problemsolving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management tools and software.
Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and financial reporting.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Preferred Attributes:
Ability to adapt to a fastpaced dynamic work environment.
Strong understanding of digital marketing and media.
