Architectural Designer ZR375JOB

This is a remote position.

• Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders to understand design requirements objectives and constraints.
  
• Develop conceptual designs sketches and renderings to communicate design ideas effectively.
  
• Produce detailed architectural drawings plans and specifications using CAD software.
  
• Ensure that designs comply with building codes zoning regulations and other applicable standards.
  
• Conduct site visits and assessments to gather relevant information and assess project feasibility.
  
• Participate in design reviews and meetings to present and discuss design proposals with team members and clients.
  
• Coordinate with architects engineers and other consultants to integrate structural mechanical and electrical systems into the design.
  
• Provide support during the construction phase by responding to RFIs (Requests for Information) and reviewing shop drawings.
  
• Stay updated on industry trends new materials and emerging technologies in architecture and design.
  
• Contribute to the development of innovative design solutions that meet client needs budget constraints and sustainability goals.
  

Requirements

• College Diploma in Architectural Technology: Possess a diploma in Architectural Technology from an accredited institution providing a solid foundation in architectural principles drafting techniques and construction technology.
  
• Minimum 3 Years of Residential Drafting Experience: Have a minimum of three years of handson experience in residential drafting within the Canadian construction industry demonstrating proficiency in creating accurate and detailed technical drawings
  
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp 3D: Showcase over three years of practical experience working with AutoCAD and SketchUp 3D with the ability to produce highquality 2D and 3D drawings and models
  
• Comfortable Collaborating on Design and Construction Details: Demonstrate ease in collaborating with Design and Construction Leads to develop and refine design concepts and construction details ensuring alignment with project objectives and requirements
  
• Highly Skilled in AutoCAD: Possess advanced skills in AutoCAD with the ability to efficiently create comprehensive construction drawings including plans elevations sections and details
  
• Knowledge of Residential Construction: Have a deep understanding of residential construction encompassing both renovations and construction including familiarity with materials methods and industry best practices
  
• Experience in Creating Comprehensive Construction Drawings: Showcase proficiency in creating comprehensive construction drawings including detailed mill work drawings structural details and accurate translations of sketches and notes into construction documents
  
• Development and Building Permit Experience: Possess experience in navigating the development and building permit processes ensuring compliance with local building codes zoning regulations and the Land Use Bylaw
  
• Adequate Knowledge of Local Building Codes: Demonstrate a strong understanding of current local building codes and regulations ensuring that designs and construction documents meet all necessary requirements
  
• Ability to Create Bid Packages: Capable of developing bid packages understanding trade roles and responsibilities and organizing the chronological order of the construction process to facilitate smooth project execution
  
• Capacity to Work on Several Projects Concurrently: Exhibit the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously effectively prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  
• Exceptional Organization and Communication Skills: Possess excellent organizational and communication skills enabling clear and concise communication with team members clients and stakeholders and facilitating seamless collaboration within a team environment.
